Hi All,
I hope you're doing well and are enjoying the sessions with your study buddys during the summer break.
As I am a huge fan of podcasts, I started looking for "coaching" podcasts to learn about different styles of questions, how to guide conversations, etc. I checked on Spotify and the only one which I liked was in German ("Die Lösung - der Psychologie Podcast" - 15 min sessions).
Does anyone have a recommendation for topics like: mindfulness, coaching, managing emotions, etc.?
Thanks for sharing. Talk to you soon!
Hi Larissa
Great to see that your learning journey hasn't stopped during the summer break.
Some recommendations:
Check out this website of two colleagues of ours who travelled the world and interviewed a lot of SF Practitioners. Guess you might find some inspiration there:
https://www.sfontour.com/simplyfocuspodcast/
And no podcasts but short videos from our pals in London: Even George responding to student questions:
https://www.brief.org.uk/videos.html
Hope this is helpful and have a great time! Keep on surfing:))
D.
There are some really interesting sessions on "The solution focused Podcast". and "Solution Focused Possibilities"
For the german-speakers:
"Der Persönlichkeits-Potcast Roland Kopp-Wichmann" https://www.podcast.de/podcast/645936/ Content is great, only it needs to listen carefully as there is not really melody in the voice
- "Rastlos" http://www.nathalie-mauckner.de/podcast/
- Thomas Baschab https://open.spotify.com/show/0thDnUHNrlh1L6Tu5IYuiO
And last but not least https://lauraseiler.com/podcast/ with Laura Malina Seiler, mainly in german, but great interviews with people around the world which are in english
Check out and enjoy
Johanna
HI Larissa, I'm a podcast entusiast, too. Funny enough my latest big inspiration (learning, preparing for unpanned, leadership) was a conversation with an outdoor first responder trainer :D done by a coaching student of ours in Solutionsurfers Hungary, ´Arpi Bárnai.
I'm also quoting https://www.sfontour.com/simplyfocuspodcast/
did you hear in and what episods did you like?
I think it worth making your deliberate choices between the 100+ episods. I very much recomend Mark McKergows, Chris Ivesons episods. I also think, Simon Lees and Haesun Moons episode fits also well with SF brief coaching as we learn here.
For SF and ICF connections you might listen to Kirsten Dierolf.
Tomorrow, when practicing co-constracting proress with clients you might hear 'effort focused interviewing' Harry Korman talks about it.
Your trainers Jesper and Petra are on an episode each, too. And Peter Szabó, who I recomended an article with, too.
I'm surprizingly often quote the episode on how questions work, and learn A LOT with the episodes on microanalysis.
I will come back here if something more occurs to my mind...
:) Kati
